Chandler Jones, a Raiders defensive end, has been arrested for allegedly breaking a protection order.

According to online jail records, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested on Friday morning in Nevada for reportedly breaking a domestic violence temporary protective order.

Last week, Jones was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list. On Friday, he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas and given a $15,000 bond.

Chandler Jones of the Raiders unleashed a now-deleted social media tirade after being denied use of the team gym.

Friday afternoon, the Raiders issued a statement expressing their sympathy for Jones but declining additional comment due to the pending legal proceedings.

The Raiders wish Chandler Jones the best in getting the medical attention he requires. Our thoughts are with him, his loved ones, and everyone concerned. Since this has become a legal issue, we have nothing further to say.

Josh McDaniels, the team's head coach, declined to provide any further details but expressed his worry for all of the team's current and former players.

"I care for all of them," he proclaimed. All of us probably do. All of our current and former players, etc., have our best wishes. So, that's a constant. For all the guys we've coached and had the pleasure of knowing and working with, that piece will always be present.

Jones, who is 33 years old, has yet to play for the Raiders this year. Last year, in 15 games, he recorded 4.5 sacks and 15 quarterback hits, good for second on the team.
